Butler County is a place of convergence, and we strive to serve by creating bridges of understanding between the local community and the local authorities to oversee the fair treatment of our brothers and sisters. For these reasons we created the Miami Valley Council 39020, so that we may serve this and the Warren County communities.

This region has been known in the past due to the number of immigration issues that have occurred in the area.  This county was the first to sign a Memorandum of Understanding with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in order to obtain immigration enforcement powers.   Its jail currently houses all immigration detainees in the Southwestern area of Ohio. It was the place of the largest job-site raid in the entire history of the State of Ohio.  In this environment, we felt the need for a LULAC presence, and therefore the Miami Valley Council was born in the Spring of 2014.
